| Description |
This antique cabinet, made from solid French walnut, dates from the 19th century and displays stylistic features commonly referred to as Henri II. These include the columns on either side, the rosettes centered on the bottom drawer and on the top piece, creating a pleasing balance and symmetry grounded in Renaissance motifs. The drawer locks and comes with its original key. The intricately carved scroll-shaped capitals of the columns are particularly distinctive. In order to enhance the visibility of items displayed in the cabinet, a light colored, removable panel has been added along with glass shelving. |
